Use all organic ingredients, if possible. You can drink every other day and substitute some of the ingredients to change flavors with Orange instead of lemon, apple instead of grapes, and add a carrot or beet. Omit the grapes if the person is already suffering from cancer.

Hi Lenore, yes, raw wheatgrass is entirely gluten free. However while wheat grass that has not yet sprouted is safe for someone with a gluten allergy, he/she should look out for wheatgrass as an ingredient on a product label (in packaged products). Manufactured foods have the potential of being contaminated with the gluten-containing seeds during processing.
